Testimonials – Half Marathon

Ruth Jones, 1st Female, 2017:
“The Monster running festival was one of the friendliest, well organised events I’ve taken part in! Runners of all abilities were made to feel welcome and the feed stations and technical t-shirts were the icing on the cake! Great photography and a fast flat course in beautiful scenery topped off a perfect day’s running!”

Emma Phillips, 3rd Female, 2017:
“I had a great time running Ely Half. The route is beautiful and the race well-organised. I really enjoyed running with a smaller field of runners, it made the race so much more personal. It’s already in my calendar for next year!”

Josh Holman, 2nd Male, 2016:
“A fun, well organised run fest right on my doorstep, what more could I ask for!”

Phillip Hamilton, 3rd Male, 2016:
“I ran the Monster Racing Half Marathon as part of Monster Run Fest. As with all of the races I’ve taken part on for Monster Racing, the race was well organised, event details were sent out in plenty of time, registration and race number pickup the morning of the race was straight forward and very efficient. Race Start was on time, starting outside the beautiful Ely Cathedral, heading down through the streets of Ely and onto the river side. The course was great and a lovely scenic route and made such a difference to typical road races. The race was not too busy, which was good as it meant there wasn’t too much congestion at any point during the course of the race. A great race pack with T-Shirt and Medal at the finish. Overall couldn’t fault the Monster Half Marathon – or any of their races and I definitely encourage people to sign up! Bring on 2017!”

Ian Hall, 1st Male, 2015:
“Well done on another great event, it was a really nice and relaxed atmosphere. After the turn around point, everyone I passed going the other way cheered me on! You don’t see that in many races! Looking forward to my next race already and it won’t be until next year!”
Craig Wilson, 2nd Male, 2015:
“A very friendly, well-organized race run along a scenic cycle path and quiet country roads. The course is largely flat, although exposed in one or two places, and a fast time is possible. Nice goody bag and prizes on offer.”
Rodrigo Santos, 3rd Male, 2015:
“Monster Run Fest is a fantastic event, full of people who love running. Being less crowded than an international event, and much more friendly, gives it a familiar edge that I really enjoyed.”
Ian Hall, 1st Male, 2014:

Daniel Pluck, 2nd Male, 2014:
“Really enjoyed this year’s Monster Half Marathon, as always the administration was fantastic with a really friendly atmosphere at race control, fun and challenging course and great organisation.  Will be back next year.”
